UC Hastings Legacy Society Celebrates at "A View From Above" Reception

Photos and more from the Legacy Society's "A View From Above" reception, hosted by Trustee Betsy England '78.

On a cloudless April afternoon, in a Nob Hill residence with sweeping views of the Golden Gate and the Bay, the UC Hastings Legacy Society celebrated its Bay Area members who have named the school as a beneficiary in their wills, trusts, and retirement funds.

The reception was graciously hosted by alumna and Foundation Trustee Betsy England '78 and her husband Robert MacIntosh.

Chancellor & Dean Frank H. Wu thanked the guests for their support of UC Hastings, noting that planned gifts are fundamental to the long term financial stability of the school. UC Hastings is ramping up its planned giving program and has an extensive set of resources on planned giving alternatives online here: Legacy = Commitment + Vision.

You can join the Legacy Society by making your own planned gift, which can be as simple as listing UC Hastings as a beneficiary in your 401k. We hope to see you in future receptions honoring Legacy Society members!

A very special thank you to Betsy and Robert for hosting, and to Rob Sall '78, Dennis Ghan '77 and Scott Morris '76 for co-sponsoring this wonderful event! To support UC Hastings students today, Invest in Opportunity.

We hope to see everyone at the UC Hastings Honors Gala, celebrating Justice Marvin R. Baxter '66, Xochitl Carrion '07, and Professor Richard Marcus. The Honors Gala will be held on Friday, September 25th, 2015, 5:00-10:00pm at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco and kicks-off UC Hastings’ Reunion Weekend, September 25-26
